Who I am

I'm someone with a passion for the great outdoors. I have had a wide field of experience (both good and bad) through life and am qualified as:

Life Coach, Stress Management Consultant, Walking Group Leader, Web Developer/Computer Programmer (self taught), Methodist Minister, Structural Detailer.

I like to offer a range of different kinds of walks but on one of my walks we will take an interest in the local history of the places we visit as well as hear some of the myths and legends.

I believe that the great outdoors has some very powerful therapeutic effects and can help people who suffer with depression or stress.

I can offer everything from a team building day through to a fun day out right up to a Christian Pilgrimage. Tell me what you are aiming to do and I will fit the walk to your requirements.

Life History (if you are interested).

Grew up in a City in a working class family.

Had a spell being bullied at school until I grew too big and strong and pick on.

Left school when I was 16 to seek fame and fortune and trained (and qualified) as a Draughtsman in the building industry.

Started race walking. Made it to the British Championships (didn't win). Injured back in training and was forced to stop racing.

Started going to church when I was 17 (there was a girl I fancied). Liked it so much I stayed and became a Methodist Minister.

Sang in choir that toured USA and Canada.

Went to California for six months to work as a Youth Pastor.

Married a different girl at another church and have 4 lovely children.

Trained as a Minister at Wesley College in Bristol - was elected Student President in my final year.

Served as Minister over a ten year period. Left because I felt they weren't relating to 'normal' people and this created a great deal of stress for me and them.

Started own business which continues to grow.

Trained as life coach (one certificate and two diplomas).

Trained as Stress Management Consultant (two diplomas - both with honours).

Trained as Walking Group Leader.
